Piece 1 of 2 — CENTRAL CONDENSER
In Stock · SKU MCAESHV8T4821BA

The MRCOOL® Signature Series TruInverter™ 48K Heat Pump Condenser delivers powerful, energy-efficient comfort for larger homes and high-demand living spaces. Designed for reliable year-round performance, it provides a 18 SEER2 rating and a 8.5 HSPF2-4 heating efficiency rating, maintaining precise indoor temperatures while using significantly less energy than traditional systems—helping lower monthly utility bills and long-term operating costs.

At its core is TruInverter™ variable-speed technology, which continuously adjusts compressor output to match real-time demand. This results in smoother temperature control, improved humidity management, quieter operation, reduced system wear, and longer equipment life compared to single- or two-stage systems. To ensure a faster and more efficient setup, this unit is designed to work with MRCOOL® No-Vac® Quick Connect® line sets, which are pre-charged and eliminate the need for system evacuation. This compatibility significantly saves on installation time and labor by removing the need for specialized vacuum pumps or refrigerant charging in the field.

The condenser is factory-charged with next-generation R-454B refrigerant, an environmentally responsible option that delivers excellent heat transfer with a lower global warming potential. This supports current and future efficiency standards while simplifying installation and reducing labor and handling risks.

Built for quiet performance, the system operates at approximately 70 decibels, with a sound-dampening top that minimizes noise without restricting airflow—ideal for homes with patios, outdoor living areas, or nearby neighbors. Durability is reinforced with a steel louver coil guard and wire fan discharge grille to protect against debris and harsh weather. A service-friendly design with sweat-connection service valves and an accessible gauge port makes installation and maintenance faster and easier.

Backed by a 10-year limited parts warranty and a limited lifetime compressor warranty, the MRCOOL® TruInverter™ 48K offers dependable performance, long-term reliability, and peace of mind—making it a smart, future-ready investment in whole-home comfort.

Easy to install and working great.

I needed to replace another unit that a previous contractor didn't do any part of that installation correctly, and the condensation line was leaking inside the house, running down the wall since that installation!! The indoor coil was 1-1/2" out of level, the line set wasn't wrapped, the electrical was tapped into the same circuit as the garage light and outlets...it was a mess.

It took me more time to demo the old unit out than to install the one I bought from you.

Thank you.

Very pleased.

Very pleased with the price, delivery, ease of installation, and above all during this heatwave it is working excellently.

Perfect for our needs!

I ordered a 2 zone unit for the bedrooms in our home. It took a few months to arrive (manufacturer issue, nothing to do with HOD, and we were contacted on more than one occasion with an order update which was much appreciated!), but when it did arrive was very easy to install. Both the heat and AC function work perfectly, and our family is very happy!

Decent Company

I ordered a HVAC system and it arrived in a timely manner and with no apparent issues. I thought the system was defective once installed but it was the installers fault who wired it wrong. My only issue would be the fee (30% I believe) to return a defective item within the 30 day return policy. If it is defective the customer shouldn't have to pay a fee to return an item that is not operating as designed. Other than that this is a good company.

Pretty Easy Install and Works Great!

Installed my own central HP system. It was a bit of work but nothing beyond a person with basic mechanical and electrical skills. It took me a while because I had to remove the existing electric forced air furnace from a pretty tight place. Some custom sheet metal work and a bit of custom electrical too. Worked perfectly when powered up and I actually like the thermostat provided, although I wish it was clearer how to set up a temperature set-back schedule. Pre-charged refrigerant piping was something new and I liked that too. The best thing is that my electric utility forked out $4,000 and that paid for the unit!

Central Split System FAQs

What is a central HVAC system?
A central HVAC system uses a network of ducts to heat and cool your entire home from a single unit. It typically consists of an outdoor condenser (or heat pump) and an indoor air handler connected by refrigerant lines, distributing conditioned air through vents in every room.
What's the difference between a heat pump system and a traditional A/C system?
A heat pump can both heat and cool your home by reversing its refrigerant cycle, making it a year-round solution without a separate furnace. A traditional central A/C system only cools — you'd pair it with a gas furnace or electric air handler for heating. Heat pumps are generally more energy-efficient in moderate climates.
What size central HVAC system do I need?
Sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, climate zone, and ceiling height. As a general rule: 1 ton of cooling covers roughly 400–600 sq ft. A 2,000 sq ft home typically needs a 3–4 ton system. Use our live chat to speak with an HVAC specialist who can help you size correctly.
Can I buy a central HVAC system online and install it myself?
You can purchase central HVAC equipment online and save significantly versus buying through a local contractor. However, installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in most states — the refrigerant handling and electrical work require certification. We recommend buying the equipment here and hiring a local installer separately.
What SEER2 rating should I look for?
SEER2 (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2) measures cooling efficiency — higher numbers mean lower energy costs. Federal minimums are 14–15 SEER2 depending on your region. For the best long-term savings, look for systems rated 16 SEER2 or higher. Many of our MRCOOL and Senville systems reach 17–18 SEER2.
Does Home Outlet Direct offer financing for central HVAC purchases?
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying orders, making it easier to invest in a high-efficiency central HVAC system without paying everything upfront. See our financing page for details on terms and eligibility.
Do central HVAC systems from Home Outlet Direct come with a warranty?
All systems come with the manufacturer's warranty. We also offer extended warranty and protection plans for added peace of mind. Brands like MRCOOL and Goodman are backed by industry-leading coverage.
What makes the MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen different from a standard heat pump?
The MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen is engineered specifically for extreme climates. Unlike standard heat pumps that lose efficiency in cold weather, it delivers 100% heating capacity at -5°F and remains operational down to -22°F. It also uses DC Inverter variable-speed technology and eco-friendly R-454B refrigerant for superior year-round efficiency — up to 18.3 SEER2 and 10.2 HSPF2-4.
What BTU sizes are available for the MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen?
The MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen central ducted system is available in capacities ranging from 24,000 BTU (2 ton) up to 60,000 BTU (5 ton), making it suitable for homes from approximately 1,000 sq. ft. to over 2,500 sq. ft. Choose the size that matches your home's heating and cooling load for optimal efficiency.
Can the MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen be installed in an existing ducted home?
Yes. The system's multi-position air handler supports upflow, downflow, horizontal left, and horizontal right configurations, so it integrates with nearly any existing ductwork layout. For a simplified setup, optional No-Vac® Quick Connect® pre-charged line sets are available, though traditional flare connections are also fully supported.
What warranty comes with the MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen?
The MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen is backed by a comprehensive 10-year warranty covering parts, labor, and the compressor. The labor warranty activates automatically upon installation — no registration is required — giving you long-term peace of mind from day one.
Where can I buy the MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen and is it in stock?
The MRCOOL Hyper Heat 2nd Gen central ducted system is available at Home Outlet Direct — no middleman, no markup. We carry the full lineup from 24K to 60K BTU with fast shipping across the contiguous US. Order today and our HVAC specialists are on hand to help you pick the right size for your home.
