The following is the shipping policy (“Shipping Policy”) for all items purchased by the customer (also referred to herein as “you” or “your”) via Home Outlet Direct (also referred to herein as “we” “us” or “our”). Unless otherwise agreed to in writing by an authorized representative of Home Outlet Direct, this Shipping Policy may not be modified.

General Shipping Terms

  • We offer free shipping on all orders delivered by FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight, or the most affordable comparable couriers.
  • For all large appliances that are shipped, the carrier will drop the item off Curbside on your property but will not deliver it inside your home, porch, garage, kitchen, etc. 
    • Large appliances include by way of illustration items such as ranges, dishwashers, and refrigerators.
  • Smaller products and small appliances are shipped via FedEx Ground or similar courier.
    • They will be dropped off at your home and no signature is required.
  • All delivery dates listed on the website are estimates. 
    • Delivery dates are not guaranteed and are subject to change based on factors such as, by way of illustration, courier shipping times, delivery appointment availability, and warehouse processing times. 
  • Free Shipping includes one delivery attempt. 
    • If the delivery is not consummated for whatever reason and the customer requests further delivery attempts are made or required, the customer will be responsible for paying all fees that are charged by the courier. These fees are set by the courier and are out of Home Outlet Direct's control.
  • Once an order is being prepared for shipping, or has shipped, the shipping address cannot be changed.
    • However, in some rare cases, we are we are able to change the shipping address. In the event we are able to do this, we will charge you a fee to cover the fee we are charged by the courier.
    • This fee is determined by the courier, and is out of our control. By way of illustration only, the average fee to change a shipping address can range from $150-$300+ depending on the courier.  
  • Full insurance is included in all shipments.

Cancelled or Refused Shipments

  • If an order is canceled or refused after it has been shipped, a restocking and shipping fee will apply, as per our return policy.
  • All shipments that are refused by the customer, or if the customer is unable to receive the shipment, it will be sent back to the warehouse and will automatically treated as a return. A restocking fee will apply to any such returns, as per our return policy found here.

Forno Appliances In-Home Delivery

Forno Appliances include in-home delivery service. This means the courier will bring the appliance inside your home and open the box to check for damages.

  • Exclusions.
    • This service does not include installation, debris removal, or haul away of any trash, materials, or packaging.
  • One Delivery Attempt.
    • This service includes one delivery attempt.  If the delivery is not consummated for whatever reason and the customer requests further delivery attempts, the customer will be responsible for paying all fees that are charged by the courier. These fees are set by the courier and are out of Home Outlet Direct's control.
  • Room of Choice, Up to 7 Steps with 2 movers.
    • The courier will deliver the Forno appliance to the room of your choice, provided that doing so does not:
      • (i) require the courier to climb up more than seven (7) steps; or
      • (ii) to use more than two (2) movers.  
    • If the courier is required to climb more than seven (7) steps or use more than two (2) movers, the courier will charge the customer a fee. This fee is set by the courier and is out of Home Outlet Direct's control.

Appliance Shipments via Freight / LTL 

  • Large appliances are shipped via Freight / LTL (which stands for “less-than-truckload”). Large appliances include, by way of illustration appliances such as ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, grills, etc.
  • The carrier will call to schedule a delivery appointment for large appliances.  A person, 18-years or older, must be available at the time of delivery to sign and accept the shipment.
  • Additional charges may apply for deliveries that are rescheduled for any reason, or if the shipment is refused without a valid reason. Any such charges are determined by the courier company and are out of our control.
  • The courier will offer you options for times to deliver your freight shipment.
  • Any additional charges by the courier will be paid by the customer. Such additional charges can occur in situations such as when customers request to delay delivery, or when they ask for extra services from the courier. Any such charges are set and charged by the courier and are out of our control. 
  • If you request a new delivery date past the window of time offered by the courier, the courier will likely charge you storage fees and such storage fees are exclusively set by the courier. By way of illustration only, the average storage fee can range from $25-100/day depending on the courier and location.

Ground Shipments (Smaller Appliances and Smaller Items)

  • Smaller appliances and products will be shipped via FedEx ground or similar courier. Smaller appliances include, by way of illustration, appliances such as microwaves, range hoods, etc. 
  • A signature will not be required and the courier will leave it on your property, typically at or near your front door, but this is up to the courier and we play no role in determining where they leave your item.

Shipping Areas:

  • Free shipping applies only to the 48 continental/contiguous United States.
  • We do not ship to PO Boxes.
  • We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marina Islands, United States Virgin Islands, or to any United States Minor Outlying Islands.

Damaged Packages

  • If your item arrived damaged, Please refuse delivery.
  • If you accepted the delivery and find the damage later - email us with your order number and photos of the damage at info@homeoutletdirect.com within 24 hours of receiving your order.
  • Damaged items will be replaced or repaired depending on the product and severity of the damage, at the manufacturer’s sole election. After 24 hours have elapsed from your of receipt of the product, requests to replace or repair damaged products may be denied by the manufacturer in their sole discretion.
  • Damaged appliances can only be replaced or repaired if they have never been installed. Once an appliance is installed, it cannot be replaced or repaired, even if it arrived damaged.
  • Prior to shipping, all products are individually inspected to verify that they leave our facility in brand-new condition. We re-package all of our products well so they arrive on your doorstep undamaged.
  • When you sign for the delivery, even if the package appears only slightly damaged, please write "Package Damaged." If the package looks significantly damaged, you may refuse delivery.  In this case, please notify us so that we can expect the return shipment. Once the package returns to us we will send you a new one as quickly as our availability allows uswe are able to.
  • If you have already accepted the package and notice missing or damaged parts, please contact us right away and we will ship you replacement parts free of charge, but please note your failure to contact us in a timely fashion can impair our ability to send you replacement parts free of charge.  We often only have a 24-hour window to file a freight claim.
  • If you are missing any parts, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt of your item and we will ship them to you at our expense. 

Warranty

  • If there is an issue with the installed appliance, the manufacturer's warranty will be responsible to repair or resolve the issue. The manufacturer’s warranty begins on delivery of the item.
  • The warranty becomes void if the product is shipped or transported outside the United States after delivery to a domestic address.
  • Our warranty coverage applies only to products used within the U.S. Shipping or relocating items internationally may subject them to different conditions, regulations, and handling that could impact their performance and durability.
  • To ensure your warranty remains valid, we strongly recommend keeping your products within the United States.
