The MRCOOL® Signature Series Single-Stage 96% AFUE 45k BTU gas furnace is a quiet-running, low NOx, and energy efficient unit that provides superior warmth during the harshest winter weather.
With a 96% AFUE, the furnace features a multi-speed high efficiency blower motor and offers enhanced cooling SEER ratings when applied with properly matched cooling equipment. It features a durable build and finish with an aluminized steel primary heat exchanger with crimped non-welded construction. The aluminized steel inshot burners provide smooth ignition with a durable silicon nitride ignitor. Thanks to the single-stage gas valve, you can expect your home to be heated quickly. With a compact 33-inch design, a left or right utility connection, and a zero step horizontal conversion, installation is easy and time-saving. It also features standardized widths for easy coil fit, a removable floor base for bottom return air, and can be easily vented with PVC pipe.
The furnace is design certified for direct and non direct applications, and an optional LP kit is available to easily convert the unit to a liquid propane configuration. Maintenance of the unit is easy thanks to the easily removable slide out blower design. Installed my own central HP system. It was a bit of work but nothing beyond a person with basic mechanical and electrical skills. It took me a while because I had to remove the existing electric forced air furnace from a pretty tight place. Some custom sheet metal work and a bit of custom electrical too. Worked perfectly when powered up and I actually like the thermostat provided, although I wish it was clearer how to set up a temperature set-back schedule. Pre-charged refrigerant piping was something new and I liked that too. The best thing is that my electric utility forked out $4,000 and that paid for the unit!

Overall Great Unit and working with HOD was simple. Unit arrived on time and in good shape.
Install was as stated and works good but struggles at heating house when temperatures are below freezing. I am concerned what will happen once we get to 20 and lower. Over all I like the product but they should be more honest about heating at low temperatures.
Received my 4 Ton VersaPro as it was stated, no bends or scratches and the trucking company placed it in my garage. It will be replacing my existing 3.5 ton Rheem heat pump so all the infrastructure already exists like the duct work, electric but will be replacing the existing line set with the pre-charged lineset so an HVAC tech won't be required assuming all goes as planned. Myself and a friend plan to install towards the end of October, waiting for cooler days here in Florida since it's an attic air handler install. Should have it completed in one or two days since I have done some of the preliminaries. Will update
