Description

The Senville SENTC-60TD is a 5 ton (60,000 BTU) top discharge central heat pump system that pairs a Hyper Heat inverter condenser with a ducted indoor air handler. It is built for large homes and light commercial spaces, delivering 55,000 BTU/h of rated cooling and 57,000 BTU/h of rated heating at 17.70 SEER2, with heating operation down to -4°F outdoors.

A twin-rotary DC inverter compressor modulates output between 14,000 and 55,000 BTU/h in cooling and 13,400 to 55,000 BTU/h in heating, so the system runs at the speed the space calls for instead of cycling on and off. The ducted air handler moves up to 1,740 CFM on high, the system runs on R-32 refrigerant, and every configuration ships with a line set kit in your choice of 16 Ft. or 50 Ft.

Features

  • 5 Ton Hyper Heat Capacity - Rated for 55,000 BTU/h of cooling and 57,000 BTU/h of heating, sized for large homes and light commercial applications.
  • Cold-Climate Heating - Heats at outdoor temperatures down to -4°F, delivering 40,000 BTU/h at 5°F and 33,000 BTU/h at -4°F.
  • Twin-Rotary DC Inverter Compressor - Variable-speed GMCC compressor modulates between 14,000 and 55,000 BTU/h in cooling to hold steady temperatures and cut energy use.
  • 17.70 SEER2 Efficiency - Rated 17.70 SEER2, 8.60 EER2, 8.00 HSPF2 (Region 4) and 3.31 COP in heating.
  • Top Discharge Condenser - Outdoor unit discharges air upward from a 29-9/64" x 29-9/64" footprint, moving up to 3,050 CFM at 60 dB(A).
  • Ducted Air Handler - Indoor unit delivers 1,740 CFM on high and 750 CFM on low at 52.5 / 44 dB(A), with a 164 lb cabinet measuring 24-31/64" x 21-1/32" x 52-63/64".
  • Hot-Weather Cooling - Cooling operating range of 5°F to 131°F outdoors, with 41,000 BTU/h still available at 109°F.
  • R-32 Refrigerant - Factory charged with 3.4 kg (119.9 oz) of R-32 and rated for line runs up to 246 ft with a 98.4 ft maximum height difference, using flared connections and 3/8 in / 3/4 in lines.
  • Optional Electric Heat Kit - Available with a 5KW, 10KW, 15KW or 20KW auxiliary heater for supplemental heat on the coldest days.
  • AHRI Certified - Listed with AHRI, with an AHRI certificate and EnergyGuide label published for the system.

Please Note

  • Professional installation by a licensed HVAC technician is required. This system uses R-32 refrigerant, and indoor, outdoor and service manuals are available from Senville.
  • The package includes the outdoor Hyper Heat pump condenser and the indoor ducted air handler. The Line Set Length option selects the included line set kit: 16 Ft. or 50 Ft.
  • Heat Kit "None" means no auxiliary heater is included. Choosing 5K, 10K, 15K or 20K adds an electric auxiliary heater of that rating for supplemental or backup heat.
  • Requires 208/230V, 60 Hz, single-phase power. Outdoor unit MCA / MOP is 39 A / 40 A; indoor unit MCA / MOP is 7 A / 15 A. Electrical requirements with an auxiliary heater installed are given in the installation manual.
  • Maximum pipe length is 246 ft with a 98.4 ft maximum height difference. Longer line runs may require additional refrigerant at 0.52 oz/ft (48 g/m) per the installation manual.
  • Ductwork and installation materials beyond the selected line set kit are not included.
  • Specifications shown are for the SENTC-60TD system as published by Senville.

Central Split System FAQs

What is a central HVAC system?
A central HVAC system uses a network of ducts to heat and cool your entire home from a single unit. It typically consists of an outdoor condenser (or heat pump) and an indoor air handler connected by refrigerant lines, distributing conditioned air through vents in every room.
What's the difference between a heat pump system and a traditional A/C system?
A heat pump can both heat and cool your home by reversing its refrigerant cycle, making it a year-round solution without a separate furnace. A traditional central A/C system only cools — you'd pair it with a gas furnace or electric air handler for heating. Heat pumps are generally more energy-efficient in moderate climates.
What size central HVAC system do I need?
Sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, climate zone, and ceiling height. As a general rule: 1 ton of cooling covers roughly 400–600 sq ft. A 2,000 sq ft home typically needs a 3–4 ton system. Use our live chat to speak with an HVAC specialist who can help you size correctly.
Can I buy a central HVAC system online and install it myself?
You can purchase central HVAC equipment online and save significantly versus buying through a local contractor. However, installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in most states — the refrigerant handling and electrical work require certification. We recommend buying the equipment here and hiring a local installer separately.
What SEER2 rating should I look for?
SEER2 (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2) measures cooling efficiency — higher numbers mean lower energy costs. Federal minimums are 14–15 SEER2 depending on your region. For the best long-term savings, look for systems rated 16 SEER2 or higher. Many of our MRCOOL and Senville systems reach 17–18 SEER2.
Does Home Outlet Direct offer financing for central HVAC purchases?
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying orders, making it easier to invest in a high-efficiency central HVAC system without paying everything upfront. See our financing page for details on terms and eligibility.
Do central HVAC systems from Home Outlet Direct come with a warranty?
All systems come with the manufacturer's warranty. We also offer extended warranty and protection plans for added peace of mind. Brands like MRCOOL and Goodman are backed by industry-leading coverage.
