Description

The Senville SENTC-48TD is a 4 ton (48,000 BTU) top discharge central heat pump system engineered for larger residential spaces. The outdoor condenser pairs with a ducted indoor air handler to deliver strong, consistent airflow and efficient temperature control through your home's duct system, with the capacity to keep up during peak seasonal demand. A Twin-Rotary DC Inverter compressor matches output to the load, and the Hyper Heat design keeps heating down to -4°F outdoor.

Rated at 17.6 SEER2, 11.3 EER2 and 9.1 HSPF2 (Region 4), the system runs on 208/230V single-phase power and uses R-32 refrigerant. Select the line set length (16 Ft. or 50 Ft.) and an optional auxiliary electric heat kit (5K, 10K, 15K or 20K) to fit the installation.

Features

  • 4 Ton Capacity - Rated for 47,000 BTU/h cooling and 50,000 BTU/h heating, with a cooling range of 15,000 – 49,000 BTU/h and a heating range of 11,000 – 52,000 BTU/h.
  • Hyper Heat Cold-Climate Heating - Heats in outdoor temperatures down to -4°F, delivering 36,000 BTU/h at 5°F and 32,000 BTU/h at -4°F.
  • 17.6 SEER2 Efficiency - Rated 17.6 SEER2, 11.3 EER2 and 9.1 HSPF2 (Region 4) with a heating COP of 3.39 W/W.
  • Twin-Rotary DC Inverter Compressor - GMCC inverter compressor varies its output to match the load for steady temperatures and efficient operation.
  • Top Discharge Condenser - Outdoor unit discharges air upward and moves up to 3,050 CFM at 60 dB(A).
  • Ducted Air Handler - Indoor unit delivers 1,690 / 750 CFM on high / low at 51 / 44 dB(A) for whole-home duct systems.
  • Wide Cooling Range - Cools in outdoor temperatures from 5°F to 131°F and still delivers 40,000 BTU/h at 109°F.
  • R-32 Refrigerant - Factory charged with 3.4 kg (119.9 oz) of R-32; supports pipe runs up to 246 ft (75 m) and a 98.4 ft (30 m) height difference with flared connections.
  • AHRI Certified - AHRI certificate and EnergyGuide label are available for the matched system.

Please Note

  • Professional installation by a licensed HVAC technician is required.
  • Package includes the outdoor heat pump condenser and the indoor ducted air handler. The Line Set Length option selects the installation kit (16 Ft. or 50 Ft.) shipped with the system.
  • The Heat Kit option adds an auxiliary electric heater for supplemental heat: choose None, 5K (5 kW), 10K (10 kW), 15K (15 kW) or 20K (20 kW).
  • Requires 208/230V, 60 Hz, single-phase power. Outdoor unit MCA / MOP is 36 A / 40 A; indoor unit MCA / MOP is 7 A / 15 A. An auxiliary heat kit adds to the indoor electrical requirement; consult the installation manual.
  • Indoor and outdoor units connect with AWG 25×3 shielded communication wiring. Liquid / gas line sizes are 3/8 in / 3/4 in.
  • Rated capacities are nominal; actual output varies with outdoor temperature as listed in the specifications.

Central Split System FAQs

What is a central HVAC system?
A central HVAC system uses a network of ducts to heat and cool your entire home from a single unit. It typically consists of an outdoor condenser (or heat pump) and an indoor air handler connected by refrigerant lines, distributing conditioned air through vents in every room.
What's the difference between a heat pump system and a traditional A/C system?
A heat pump can both heat and cool your home by reversing its refrigerant cycle, making it a year-round solution without a separate furnace. A traditional central A/C system only cools — you'd pair it with a gas furnace or electric air handler for heating. Heat pumps are generally more energy-efficient in moderate climates.
What size central HVAC system do I need?
Sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, climate zone, and ceiling height. As a general rule: 1 ton of cooling covers roughly 400–600 sq ft. A 2,000 sq ft home typically needs a 3–4 ton system. Use our live chat to speak with an HVAC specialist who can help you size correctly.
Can I buy a central HVAC system online and install it myself?
You can purchase central HVAC equipment online and save significantly versus buying through a local contractor. However, installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in most states — the refrigerant handling and electrical work require certification. We recommend buying the equipment here and hiring a local installer separately.
What SEER2 rating should I look for?
SEER2 (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2) measures cooling efficiency — higher numbers mean lower energy costs. Federal minimums are 14–15 SEER2 depending on your region. For the best long-term savings, look for systems rated 16 SEER2 or higher. Many of our MRCOOL and Senville systems reach 17–18 SEER2.
Does Home Outlet Direct offer financing for central HVAC purchases?
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying orders, making it easier to invest in a high-efficiency central HVAC system without paying everything upfront. See our financing page for details on terms and eligibility.
Do central HVAC systems from Home Outlet Direct come with a warranty?
All systems come with the manufacturer's warranty. We also offer extended warranty and protection plans for added peace of mind. Brands like MRCOOL and Goodman are backed by industry-leading coverage.
