Description

The Senville SENDC-48CO central split system pairs a 4 ton (48,000 BTU) Senville inverter heat pump condenser with the SENDC-48CO evaporator A-coil. It is built for homes that already have a furnace: the A-coil mounts on the existing furnace, the furnace blower moves the air, and the outdoor heat pump delivers cooling and heating through the ductwork you already have, so there is no air handler to buy or install. The matched condenser and coil combination carries an AHRI certificate and EnergyGuide label. The condenser is rated at 16.5 SEER2 and 10.5 EER2 for cooling and 9.5 HSPF2-4 for heating, keeps heating down to -22°F (-30°C), and is engineered to cool spaces up to 2,000 square feet.

The SENDC-48CO A-coil installs in a horizontal or vertical position, uses a durable aluminum coil, and includes an advanced R454B refrigerant sensor. It is designed for easy maintenance and supports multiple control options, including a WiFi-enabled wired controller or a compatible third-party 24V thermostat. Choose a 16 Ft., 25 Ft. or 50 Ft. line set to match your run, or select No Line Set if your installer is supplying the refrigerant lines.

Features

  • Matched Condenser and A-Coil - The heat pump condenser and SENDC-48CO coil are sold as a matched HVAC combination backed by an AHRI certificate and EnergyGuide label.
  • 16.5 SEER2 Cooling - The 48,000 BTU heat pump condenser is rated at 16.5 SEER2 and 10.5 EER2.
  • Inverter Variable-Speed Compressor - The variable-speed compressor powered by Inverter Technology modulates across a 15600~51000 BTU cooling range and a 15500~57300 BTU heating range instead of cycling on and off.
  • Heating Down to -22°F - Heat pump heating is rated at 9.5 HSPF2-4 and 3.4 COP, with a 50,000 BTU heating capacity and consistent heating down to -22°F (-30°C).
  • Works With Your Existing Furnace - The A-coil mounts on the furnace and uses the furnace blower to move air, so no separate air handler is needed.
  • Multi-Position A-Coil - The SENDC-48CO coil installs in a horizontal or vertical position to suit the furnace layout.
  • Durable Aluminum Coil - Aluminum coil construction designed for easy maintenance.
  • R454B Refrigerant Sensor - The system runs on R454B refrigerant, and the coil includes an advanced R454B refrigerant sensor.
  • Flexible Controls - Use a WiFi-enabled wired controller or connect a compatible third-party 24V thermostat.
  • 10-Year Compressor Warranty - Backed by a 10-year compressor warranty and a 5-year parts warranty.

Please Note

  • Professional installation is required. Senville recommends this system for professional installation only.
  • This package includes the heat pump condenser and the SENDC-48CO evaporator A-coil only. No furnace or air handler is included; an existing furnace with a working blower is required to move air through the coil.
  • Line Set Length option: choose a 16 Ft., 25 Ft. or 50 Ft. line set, or select No Line Set if your installer is supplying the refrigerant lines.
  • The condenser requires a 208/230V, 1Ph, 60Hz power supply with a 38 A minimum circuit ampacity and a 40 A maximum fuse. The coil controls are compatible with 24V thermostats. Have your installer confirm wiring against the unit's rating plate and installation manual.
  • Capacity, efficiency and electrical figures listed are Senville's published specifications for its 48,000 BTU heat pump condenser. The certified ratings for this specific condenser and A-coil combination are published on its AHRI certificate and EnergyGuide label.
  • The 2,000 sq. ft. coverage is Senville's rating for the condenser; actual coverage depends on your climate, insulation, ductwork and furnace blower, so have your installer confirm sizing before purchase.

Central Split System FAQs

What is a central HVAC system?
A central HVAC system uses a network of ducts to heat and cool your entire home from a single unit. It typically consists of an outdoor condenser (or heat pump) and an indoor air handler connected by refrigerant lines, distributing conditioned air through vents in every room.
What's the difference between a heat pump system and a traditional A/C system?
A heat pump can both heat and cool your home by reversing its refrigerant cycle, making it a year-round solution without a separate furnace. A traditional central A/C system only cools — you'd pair it with a gas furnace or electric air handler for heating. Heat pumps are generally more energy-efficient in moderate climates.
What size central HVAC system do I need?
Sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, climate zone, and ceiling height. As a general rule: 1 ton of cooling covers roughly 400–600 sq ft. A 2,000 sq ft home typically needs a 3–4 ton system. Use our live chat to speak with an HVAC specialist who can help you size correctly.
Can I buy a central HVAC system online and install it myself?
You can purchase central HVAC equipment online and save significantly versus buying through a local contractor. However, installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in most states — the refrigerant handling and electrical work require certification. We recommend buying the equipment here and hiring a local installer separately.
What SEER2 rating should I look for?
SEER2 (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2) measures cooling efficiency — higher numbers mean lower energy costs. Federal minimums are 14–15 SEER2 depending on your region. For the best long-term savings, look for systems rated 16 SEER2 or higher. Many of our MRCOOL and Senville systems reach 17–18 SEER2.
Does Home Outlet Direct offer financing for central HVAC purchases?
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying orders, making it easier to invest in a high-efficiency central HVAC system without paying everything upfront. See our financing page for details on terms and eligibility.
Do central HVAC systems from Home Outlet Direct come with a warranty?
All systems come with the manufacturer's warranty. We also offer extended warranty and protection plans for added peace of mind. Brands like MRCOOL and Goodman are backed by industry-leading coverage.
