Description

The Senville SENTC-36TD is a 3 ton (36,000 BTU) central heat pump split system that pairs a top discharge outdoor condenser with a ducted indoor air handler. Rated at 18.6 SEER2 and 9.0 HSPF2 (Region 4), it heats and cools medium-sized homes through ductwork while helping reduce energy costs. The top discharge configuration suits tighter installations, and the Hyper Heat inverter design keeps heating in outdoor temperatures down to –4°F.

The system runs on 208/230V single-phase power and uses R-32 refrigerant with flared connections. Choose a 16 Ft. or 50 Ft. line set and, if needed, an auxiliary electric heat kit (5K, 10K, 15K or 20K) to match the installation.

Features

  • 3 Ton Hyper Heat System - Rated for 34,000 BTU/h of cooling and 36,000 BTU/h of heating, with a heating capacity range of 11,000 – 39,000 BTU/h.
  • 18.6 SEER2 Efficiency - 18.6 SEER2, 11.7 EER2 and 9.0 HSPF2 (Region 4) ratings help lower operating costs year-round.
  • Cold-Climate Heating - Delivers 27,000 BTU/h at 5°F and 25,000 BTU/h at –4°F outdoor, with a heating operating range of –4°F to 75°F.
  • Wide Cooling Range - Cools in outdoor temperatures from 5°F to 131°F and holds 32,000 BTU/h at 109°F.
  • Twin-Rotary DC Inverter Compressor - The variable-speed GMCC compressor modulates cooling output between 13,000 and 38,000 BTU/h for steady, even comfort.
  • Top Discharge Condenser - Vertical airflow fits tighter outdoor placements; the 29-9/64" × 29-9/64" × 25" cabinet weighs 143 lbs.
  • Ducted Air Handler - The indoor unit moves 1,110 / 520 CFM (high / low) at 50 / 38 dB(A) and measures 21-1/32" × 21-1/32" × 49-7/32".
  • Quiet Outdoor Operation - Outdoor unit rated at 58 dB(A) with 2,800 CFM of maximum airflow.
  • Long Line Set Capability - Supports up to 246 ft (75 m) of piping and 98.4 ft (30 m) of height difference with 3/8 in liquid and 3/4 in gas lines.
  • AHRI Certified - Listed in the AHRI directory with an EnergyGuide label.

Please Note

  • Professional installation by a licensed HVAC technician is required.
  • Package includes the outdoor heat pump condenser and the indoor ducted air handler.
  • Line Set Length selects the installation kit length (16 Ft. or 50 Ft.) supplied with the system. Additional refrigerant may be needed on longer runs at 0.52 oz/ft (48 g/m).
  • Heat Kit selects an optional auxiliary electric heater (5K, 10K, 15K or 20K) for the air handler to provide supplemental heat; choose None if not required. Electrical requirements for the air handler increase when a heat kit is installed, so have your installer size the circuit accordingly.
  • Requires a 208/230V, 60 Hz, single-phase power supply. Outdoor unit MCA / MOP is 24 A / 30 A; indoor unit MCA / MOP is 5 A / 15 A.
  • Factory charged with 2.9 kg (102.3 oz) of R-32 refrigerant.
  • Indoor and outdoor installation manuals and a service manual are available from the manufacturer.

Central Split System FAQs

What is a central HVAC system?
A central HVAC system uses a network of ducts to heat and cool your entire home from a single unit. It typically consists of an outdoor condenser (or heat pump) and an indoor air handler connected by refrigerant lines, distributing conditioned air through vents in every room.
What's the difference between a heat pump system and a traditional A/C system?
A heat pump can both heat and cool your home by reversing its refrigerant cycle, making it a year-round solution without a separate furnace. A traditional central A/C system only cools — you'd pair it with a gas furnace or electric air handler for heating. Heat pumps are generally more energy-efficient in moderate climates.
What size central HVAC system do I need?
Sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, climate zone, and ceiling height. As a general rule: 1 ton of cooling covers roughly 400–600 sq ft. A 2,000 sq ft home typically needs a 3–4 ton system. Use our live chat to speak with an HVAC specialist who can help you size correctly.
Can I buy a central HVAC system online and install it myself?
You can purchase central HVAC equipment online and save significantly versus buying through a local contractor. However, installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in most states — the refrigerant handling and electrical work require certification. We recommend buying the equipment here and hiring a local installer separately.
What SEER2 rating should I look for?
SEER2 (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2) measures cooling efficiency — higher numbers mean lower energy costs. Federal minimums are 14–15 SEER2 depending on your region. For the best long-term savings, look for systems rated 16 SEER2 or higher. Many of our MRCOOL and Senville systems reach 17–18 SEER2.
Does Home Outlet Direct offer financing for central HVAC purchases?
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying orders, making it easier to invest in a high-efficiency central HVAC system without paying everything upfront. See our financing page for details on terms and eligibility.
Do central HVAC systems from Home Outlet Direct come with a warranty?
All systems come with the manufacturer's warranty. We also offer extended warranty and protection plans for added peace of mind. Brands like MRCOOL and Goodman are backed by industry-leading coverage.
