Description

The Senville SENTC-24TD is a 2 ton (24,000 BTU) top discharge central heat pump system sized for condos, apartments, and homes up to approximately 1,200 sq ft. It pairs a compact top discharge Hyper Heat condenser with a ducted indoor air handler, so it works with a conventional central duct system while delivering inverter-level efficiency: 20.0 SEER2, 13.3 EER2, and 9.4 HSPF2 (Region 4).

A twin-rotary DC inverter compressor modulates output to match the load instead of cycling on and off, which holds a steady indoor temperature and keeps sound at 42 dB(A) at the air handler and 58 dB(A) outdoors. In heating mode the system still produces 23,000 BTU/h at 5°F and 19,000 BTU/h at -4°F outdoor, and it runs on R-32 refrigerant. Choose the line set length that fits your installation and add an optional auxiliary electric heat kit for backup heat on the coldest days.

Features

  • Hyper Heat Cold-Climate Heating - Rated for 24,000 BTU/h of heating at 47°F outdoor and still delivers 23,000 BTU/h at 5°F and 19,000 BTU/h at -4°F, with a heating operating range of -4°F to 75°F.
  • High-Efficiency Ratings - 20.0 SEER2, 13.3 EER2, 9.4 HSPF2 (Region 4), and a heating COP of 3.27 W/W.
  • Twin-Rotary DC Inverter Compressor - The GMCC twin-rotary inverter compressor modulates cooling output between 6,800 and 25,000 BTU/h and heating output between 9,000 and 28,000 BTU/h to match demand.
  • Compact Top Discharge Condenser - The outdoor unit measures 29-9/64" x 29-9/64" x 25" and discharges air upward, keeping the footprint small for tight side yards and equipment pads.
  • Ducted Indoor Air Handler - Moves 830 CFM on high and 420 CFM on low through your ductwork from a 21-1/32" x 21-1/32" x 49-7/32" cabinet weighing 125 lbs.
  • Quiet Operation - Indoor noise levels of 42 dB(A) on high and 38 dB(A) on low, with the outdoor unit at 58 dB(A).
  • Wide Cooling Operating Range - Cools in outdoor temperatures from 5°F to 131°F and still produces 20,500 BTU/h at 109°F.
  • R-32 Refrigerant - Ships with a 2.9 kg (102.3 oz) factory charge and supports line runs up to 164 ft (50 m) with up to 82 ft (25 m) of height difference, using flared connections.
  • Auxiliary Heat Kit Ready - Add a 5 kW, 10 kW, 15 kW, or 20 kW electric heat kit to the air handler for supplemental or backup heat.
  • AHRI Certified - An AHRI certificate and EnergyGuide label are published for this system, and it is supported by indoor, outdoor, and service manuals.

Please Note

  • Professional installation is required. Refrigerant connections, evacuation, and electrical hookup must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician.
  • Power supply is 208/230V, 60 Hz, 1-phase. The indoor unit is rated 5 A MCA / 15 A MOP and the outdoor unit 19 A MCA / 20 A MOP. Adding an electric heat kit increases the indoor electrical requirement, so confirm circuit sizing with your installer.
  • Line Set Length selects the installation kit shipped with the system: 16 Ft. or 50 Ft. Maximum pipe length is 164 ft (50 m) and maximum height difference is 82 ft (25 m); longer runs may require additional refrigerant at 0.52 oz/ft (48 g/m).
  • Heat Kit "None" ships the air handler without an auxiliary electric heater. The 5K, 10K, 15K, and 20K options add a factory electric heat kit (rated in kW) for backup or supplemental heat.
  • Package includes the outdoor top discharge condenser, the indoor ducted air handler, the selected 16 Ft. or 50 Ft. installation kit, and the auxiliary heat kit if one is chosen.
  • Communication wiring between the indoor and outdoor units is specified as AWG 25x3 shielded.
  • Heating operating range is -4°F to 75°F outdoor; cooling operating range is 5°F to 131°F outdoor.
  • Refrigerant line connections are flared: 3/8 in liquid and 3/4 in gas.

Central Split System FAQs

What is a central HVAC system?
A central HVAC system uses a network of ducts to heat and cool your entire home from a single unit. It typically consists of an outdoor condenser (or heat pump) and an indoor air handler connected by refrigerant lines, distributing conditioned air through vents in every room.
What's the difference between a heat pump system and a traditional A/C system?
A heat pump can both heat and cool your home by reversing its refrigerant cycle, making it a year-round solution without a separate furnace. A traditional central A/C system only cools — you'd pair it with a gas furnace or electric air handler for heating. Heat pumps are generally more energy-efficient in moderate climates.
What size central HVAC system do I need?
Sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, climate zone, and ceiling height. As a general rule: 1 ton of cooling covers roughly 400–600 sq ft. A 2,000 sq ft home typically needs a 3–4 ton system. Use our live chat to speak with an HVAC specialist who can help you size correctly.
Can I buy a central HVAC system online and install it myself?
You can purchase central HVAC equipment online and save significantly versus buying through a local contractor. However, installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in most states — the refrigerant handling and electrical work require certification. We recommend buying the equipment here and hiring a local installer separately.
What SEER2 rating should I look for?
SEER2 (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2) measures cooling efficiency — higher numbers mean lower energy costs. Federal minimums are 14–15 SEER2 depending on your region. For the best long-term savings, look for systems rated 16 SEER2 or higher. Many of our MRCOOL and Senville systems reach 17–18 SEER2.
Does Home Outlet Direct offer financing for central HVAC purchases?
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying orders, making it easier to invest in a high-efficiency central HVAC system without paying everything upfront. See our financing page for details on terms and eligibility.
Do central HVAC systems from Home Outlet Direct come with a warranty?
All systems come with the manufacturer's warranty. We also offer extended warranty and protection plans for added peace of mind. Brands like MRCOOL and Goodman are backed by industry-leading coverage.
