The KitchenAid Stainless Steel Tilt-Head Pastry Beater (KSMTHPBSS) fits 4.5 and 5 quart KitchenAid tilt-head stand mixers and is built for pastry work. This specialized beater works cold butter and shortening evenly into flour, and its stripy design builds light, flaky layers with less effort and more consistency than mixing by hand, for doughs that bake up crisp, tender, and layered.

Fit note: Does not fit the KitchenAid Artisan Mini (KSM3316 and KSM3317) or any bowl-lift stand mixer.

It earns its place beyond pastry, too: shred cooked meat for chicken tacos and pulled pork, mash fruits and vegetables for jams and guacamole, or muddle citrus and herbs for cocktails. The coffee maker has some features that are mich better than the model I had for ten years. The carafe broke while hand washing it. That was the reason I bought the new version. After using the new one for only 30 days, my house cleaner moved it and the carafe slid off the base and broke. I was very upset because I could not find that Kitchen Aid sold a replacement carafe. I bought one on the internet for $48 and it works but it is not the same and I don’t like it much. Can you send me a real one? Dorothy Rein
