Description

The KitchenAid Artisan Plus Stand Mixer in Cast Iron Black is built to take on everything from thick bread doughs to heavy batters. Its beater reaches at least 59 touchpoints around the bowl for a thorough, even mix, and 11 preset speeds give you quick, repeatable settings. Twist the control knob to engage Precision Speed Control and glide smoothly between speeds. A ½ fold speed gently blends light, airy ingredients without knocking out their lift, while Soft Start ramps up gradually to keep flour, sugar, and cocoa in the bowl instead of on the counter.

An integrated light comes on automatically when the head is lowered or the mixer is running, and a twist of the knob switches it on manually whenever you want a clearer view of your mix. The included double flex edge beater has flexible silicone edges that scrape the sides of the bowl as it mixes, so you stop less often to scrape down by hand. Every Artisan Plus ships with a full set of stainless steel accessories: a rust-resistant, dishwasher-safe, precision-welded bowl, the double flex edge beater, a dough hook, a wire whisk, and a flat beater. It is also compatible with optional KitchenAid attachments (sold separately) for making fresh pasta, churning ice cream, slicing vegetables, or grinding meat.

The coffee maker has some features that are mich better than the model I had for ten years. The carafe broke while hand washing it. That was the reason I bought the new version. After using the new one for only 30 days, my house cleaner moved it and the carafe slid off the base and broke. I was very upset because I could not find that Kitchen Aid sold a replacement carafe. I bought one on the internet for $48 and it works but it is not the same and I don’t like it much. Can you send me a real one? Dorothy Rein
