An HVAC technician can effortlessly install the unit, which is designed to work with the optional MRCOOL® No-Vac® Quick Connect® Line Set. This line set comes pre-charged with eco-friendly R410-A refrigerant, eliminating the need for vacuuming or flare welding and providing kink resistance. It allows for flexible installation options as it can be configured in various ways.
Additionally, a wired thermostat, wireless remote, and an optional heat kit are available if needed. Installed my own central HP system. It was a bit of work but nothing beyond a person with basic mechanical and electrical skills. It took me a while because I had to remove the existing electric forced air furnace from a pretty tight place. Some custom sheet metal work and a bit of custom electrical too. Worked perfectly when powered up and I actually like the thermostat provided, although I wish it was clearer how to set up a temperature set-back schedule. Pre-charged refrigerant piping was something new and I liked that too. The best thing is that my electric utility forked out $4,000 and that paid for the unit!

No muss, no fuss. 1 call about extended warranty which I declined. Otherwise just straight forward drop shipment to curb, on time and as expected. All items in perfect shape, no breaks or rips in boxes.
The items (Mr. Cool 27k 3 head 9k/9k/12k DIY) installed great, easy to follow instructions. 1 wall insert was slightly cracked due to no packing material in the line box, but I it taped up and it inserted fine. Could have used more custom sized lines for fitting but otherwise very happy with product.
Needed a 2-zone for my garage and room we built above the garage. I originally thought I would have to buy 2 separate mini splits, but the HOD rep explained I could get a multi zone set up.
I got the mrcool 2-zone. Was easy to to install. Works great at both cooling and heating.
