Why Buying a Kitchen Appliance Package Makes Good Money Sense

Buying a kitchen appliance package usually costs less than buying the same appliances one at a time. A package (also called a bundle) groups a matching range, refrigerator, dishwasher and often a hood or microwave from one brand at a lower combined price. You also get finishes that match, one order to manage, easier financing, and the option of one protection plan that covers every piece.

If you're remodeling, moving into a new home, or watching several aging appliances start to fail, here's why a package often makes good money sense, and when buying individually might be the better call.

What's in a kitchen appliance package?

Packages are built around the range and grow from there:

  • 3-piece: range, refrigerator and dishwasher.
  • 4-piece: adds a range hood or a microwave.
  • 5- and 6-piece: adds a microwave drawer, an ice maker or both.
  • 2-piece: combinations such as a wall oven with a built-in microwave. See 2-piece packages.

You can browse every option in our appliance packages collection, filter by fuel with gas range packages, or build your own (more on that below).

1. A package saves you money

The biggest reason to bundle is price. Our appliance packages are priced below what you'd pay for the same pieces bought separately. When you build a custom bundle, the bundle discount is shown as you add each appliance, so you can see the savings before you check out. Prices change often, so compare the current package price against the individual product pages for the exact models you want.

2. Everything matches

Mixing brands can leave you with stainless steel in slightly different tones, handles that don't line up and knobs that clash. Buying a package from one brand gives you a consistent finish and design language across the kitchen. Designer lines take this further:

  • ZLINE Autograph Edition adds polished gold, champagne bronze or matte black accents across ranges, hoods and other appliances.
  • Forno Espresso pairs matte black or white finishes with antique-brass handles and trim across ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves and hoods.
  • Panel-ready refrigerators, such as Forno's 36-inch Rivestito French door model, accept custom cabinet panels so they blend into your cabinetry.

3. One order instead of several

Shopping piece by piece means comparing several stores, tracking multiple orders and coordinating separate deliveries. With a package, you choose everything at once, check out once, and deal with one retailer for delivery questions and support. Each package and bundle page shows its delivery options, so you can plan around installation day.

4. Financing is simpler

Financing one package is easier than juggling several purchases. At checkout you can split your order into monthly payments through Affirm, Shop Pay Installments, Klarna or Bread Pay, and you can prequalify without affecting your credit score. See financing options for details.

5. One protection plan can cover the whole package

Every appliance we sell ships new with its manufacturer's warranty. For coverage after that ends, you can add a CPS extended protection plan at checkout, and one plan can cover every appliance in your package. CPS plans cover parts and labor for defects, include in-home service for appliances, have no deductibles, and replace the product if it can't be repaired.

6. Your appliances age together

Kitchen appliances bought at the same time tend to wear out around the same time. If one major appliance has failed and the others are just as old, replacing them together can be smarter than waiting for the next breakdown. It also gives you a single replacement schedule and a kitchen that runs on current, more efficient models.

Build your own appliance package

If none of our ready-made packages fit exactly, use Build Your Bundle:

  1. Pick your brand. Bundles are brand-matched so everything coordinates.
  2. Add your appliances: refrigerator, range, range hood, microwave and dishwasher. You choose the exact models.
  3. Protect your package with one CPS extended protection plan that covers every appliance in the bundle.

Your bundle total and discount update as you go, and you can email yourself the quote to review later.

Shop appliance packages by brand

When buying individually makes more sense

A package isn't always the answer. If only one appliance needs replacing and the rest are newer, buy just what you need. If you have your heart set on a specialty piece from one brand and a refrigerator from another, buying separately gives you that freedom. Our Build Your Bundle tool is brand-matched, so mixed-brand kitchens are priced piece by piece.

Before you buy: a quick checklist

  • Measure every cutout, plus doorways and hallways along the delivery path.
  • Confirm your fuel and power: a gas line for gas and dual fuel ranges, or a 240-volt circuit for electric and induction.
  • Size the hood correctly. See What Is a CFM Rating for Range Hoods?
  • Check refrigerator depth (standard or counter-depth) and door swing.
  • Register each appliance's warranty after installation.

The bottom line

A kitchen appliance package saves money compared with buying each piece separately. It also guarantees a matching look, simplifies ordering and financing, and lets one protection plan cover the whole kitchen.
