The MrCool® DIY® Series 9K BTU Ceiling Cassette is perfect for any space and provide discreet and out of sight heating and cooling. It is available in single-zone and multi-zone options and is easy to install, fitting between 16” ceiling joists.
The cassette is designed to work with both current and future joist standards and can be recessed between all types of joists on 16 inch center, including pre-manufactured I-joists. Other ceiling cassettes have strict installation requirements in less ideal locations, but the MrCool® cassette doesn't require ductwork or wall space and is perfect for new constructions or retrofits.
The cassette works with the MrCool® DIY® Quick Connect® line set which makes installation even easier since it is precharged with refrigerant, eliminating the need for vacuuming. The No-Vac® Coupler can be used to increase length. With advanced filtration, each cassette offers an Elevation function that lowers the filter panel for easy filter maintenance.
Not only does this cassette feature quiet operation and multiple operating modes, but also provided is a limited lifetime warranty in addition to a 7-year compressor warranty and 5-year parts warranty, so you can feel confident in your investment.

I ordered a HVAC system and it arrived in a timely manner and with no apparent issues. I thought the system was defective once installed but it was the installers fault who wired it wrong. My only issue would be the fee (30% I believe) to return a defective item within the 30 day return policy. If it is defective the customer shouldn't have to pay a fee to return an item that is not operating as designed. Other than that this is a good company.
Installed my own central HP system. It was a bit of work but nothing beyond a person with basic mechanical and electrical skills. It took me a while because I had to remove the existing electric forced air furnace from a pretty tight place. Some custom sheet metal work and a bit of custom electrical too. Worked perfectly when powered up and I actually like the thermostat provided, although I wish it was clearer how to set up a temperature set-back schedule. Pre-charged refrigerant piping was something new and I liked that too. The best thing is that my electric utility forked out $4,000 and that paid for the unit!
Installed with ceiling cassettes... Quiet and keeping us cool so far !
Overall Great Unit and working with HOD was simple. Unit arrived on time and in good shape.
Install was as stated and works good but struggles at heating house when temperatures are below freezing. I am concerned what will happen once we get to 20 and lower. Over all I like the product but they should be more honest about heating at low temperatures.
